MULTIMEDIA DESIGN
MULTIMEDIA DESIGN I (AM Session)
This program will entail learning and making use of many different skills in the areas of video production, graphic design, and photography. This program will also cover production safety, project development, marketing, public relations, and job procurement. Students receive training in the three major areas of media during their first year.
MULTIMEDIA DESIGN II (PM Session)
Second year students will select a program track for in depth training and independent study. To gain valuable experience, second year students will also use their media skills to help organizations and individuals with media-related projects when they become available. Students also maintain an online portfolio of their work which they may take with them after they graduate.
Program Tracks:
Videography: Pre-production (planning), production (filming), and post-production (editing). Students learn scriptwriting, storyboarding, camera operation, composition, and video editing using Adobe Premiere.
Photography: Composition, lighting, and manual settings on DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, photo editing using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Graphic Design: Logo design, digital art, vinyl cutting, marketing, and print layout using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Comfortable with technology
Ability to demonstrate perseverance and troubleshoot issues
Effective communication skills
High school level reading and writing skills
Be able to follow through on assignments and projects; meet deadlines.
Interest in experiencing the creative design process
Safely handle and care for fragile, expensive equipment
