We are excited to announce that we are transitioning to a new model of delivering Title IA services to our students at Ellsworth Elementary Middle School. We are applying to become a schoolwide program where our Title IA grant funds will be able to support all teachers and students in K-8 reading and math classrooms. In designing and implementing the schoolwide plan, a school can implement strategies that: "(1) provide opportunities for all children to meet challenging State academic standards; (2) use methods and instructional strategies that strengthen the academic program in the school, increase the amount and quality of learning time, and help provide an enriched and accelerated curriculum, which may include programs, activities, and courses necessary to provide a well-rounded education; and (3) address the needs of all students, but particularly those at risk of not meeting challenging State academic standards. The countdown begins!! Ellsworth's 7th and 8th graders are participating in the MLTI Virtual Student Conference on May 26 from 8:30am - 2:00pm. The theme of this year’s conference is Space2Connect! and the goal is to illuminate space as it relates to Maine students and their use of technology.
