On March 11, 2021, the President signed into law the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). The American Rescue Plan funds have been allocated to districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on students. As part of receiving funds, the Ellsworth School Department must create a plan for use of the funds and give the public an opportunity to provide input in the development of its plan. We want your input on how to utilize the funds to best support our students. Middle School Open House Postponed: Due to the transition of me stepping into my new role I have decided to postpone the MS open house this evening. I have made this decision so that I can work directly with teachers to plan a positive open house experience for students, parents and staff. I apologize for the late notice. EEMS Parents and Students We are happy to announce that we will have an open house for grades 5-8 on September 9th: 5th and 6th grade ~ 4:00 - 5:00 pm 7th and 8th grade ~ 5:00 - 6:00 pm The open house will allow "a walk through" with your child to see where they learn throughout the day. August 26, 2021 Ellsworth School Board Meeting Moved to EEMS Due to the expected large turnout of attendees for the Thursday August 26, 2021 Special Meeting of the Ellsworth School Board, the meeting location has been moved from City Council Chambers at City Hall to the Cafeteria at the Ellsworth Elementary Middle School. The meeting will convene at 6:00 p.m. and will be live streamed on the Ellsworth School Department YouTube Channel. Consistent with the provisions of the Framework to Return to School for 2021-22 plan approved by the Ellsworth School Board at its August 12, 2021 meeting, all those attending will be required to wear facemasks and maintain spacing of three feet to the extent possible. Chairs will be set up three feet apart. Specific guidelines regarding Public Comment consistent with Ellsworth School Board Policy BEDH- Public Participation at School Board Meetings will be provided at the beginning of the meeting. The Board appreciates the cooperation of all attendees at the meeting.
