"One of my goals as Superintendent is to routinely gather feedback from staff, students and parents when new initiatives are put into effect. This helps our system make valuable changes to systems and programs as well as ensure that voices are being heard. This year, the Ellsworth School Department changed its grading practices grades 5-12 from a standards based system (1-4) to more traditional grading practices (0-100). In addition, new bell schedules were implemented at Ellsworth Elementary Middle School grades 5-8 as well as at Ellsworth High School. Your feedback from a parent perspective is extremely important. Data provided from parents, as well as students and staff will help leadership make decisions and improvements moving forward."
